A Plethora of Posts

Volume four of the "Ramblings From Rhodes" series, the material in A Plethora of Posts began life as posts on the author's blog, which is aptly, if rather predictably, entitled "Ramblings from Rhodes"!

The 44 chapters in "A Plethora of Posts" sort of trace the rhythm of a year (well, two and a bit really) of life on Rhodes, after John and his wife had already lived there for four years and counting. Virtually all of the tales in A Plethora of Posts relate to living on Rhodes, with very little reference being made to past visits to his wife's relatives or other parts of Greece.

Find out who makes the best moussaka in all of Greece, be warned about the perils of becoming a chauffeur to an old ya ya whom you stop to pick up when she's hitch-hiking, read about the most apologetic bank robber in the world and discover why it may be a good idea to 'season' your orange before eating it.

Through John's sparklingly witty prose take a trip to Greece and live out his and his wife's experiences over a couple of years going through the rhythm of the seasons in a quiet backwater of the enchanting island of Rhodes.

"Brilliant --a must read for anyone who has been or loves Rhodes."

"Love the JM series of books! The perfect antidote for a dreich UK winter. Imagined being on a Sun-drenched Greek island with a frappé."

"I have now read all his books and love how uplifting his "ramblings" are. For me, he really is a gift to read, especially on holidays where you can "dip in and out". He is honest and witty and entertaining. Highly enjoyable."

"Brings back happy memories of Greek holidays and everything that is Greek. His descriptions of day to day Greek life bring a smile to my face and sometimes I just laugh out loud! Having Greek friends - I know how accurate his descriptions are of the very laid back attitudes Greek people have. So what if the meal takes an hour to arrive? More time for talking and enjoying a glass of ouzo!"
